The Firm

Built for the Boardroom. Proven in the Field.

Berkshire Advisory was founded on a single conviction: that technology advisory at the executive level demands advisors who have actually held the roles they advise.

Our Story

Berkshire Advisory was established to address a persistent gap in the advisory market — the distance between technology consultants who understand frameworks and executives who need to make consequential decisions. We built the firm to close that gap.

Our practice is deliberately focused. We do not serve every market or every engagement type. We work with a select number of organizations, at the C-Suite and board level, on the technology decisions that carry the most strategic weight.

Every Berkshire Advisory engagement is led by a senior advisor with direct operating experience — as a CIO, CTO, or board member — in complex technology environments. We bring that experience to bear on your most critical challenges.

Founder, Berkshire Advisory LLC
Years of Leadership Experience35+

Ken Thomas brings over 35 years of executive leadership experience to every engagement — a career built not in consulting, but in the operating roles that consulting firms advise. His path through Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial leadership gave him a rare, cross-functional perspective before he moved into technology, where he spent decades as a senior IT executive.

Ken's technology career is defined by large-scale, high-stakes execution. He has led enterprise-wide ERP implementations across multiple continents, navigating the organizational, cultural, and technical complexity that separates successful transformations from costly failures. His work spans global organizations where technology decisions carry direct consequence for business performance.

That operating background — the experience of having held the roles he now advises — is the foundation of Berkshire Advisory. Ken founded the firm to bring practitioner-grade counsel to C-Suite leaders and boards who need more than frameworks. They need someone who has been in the room, made the call, and lived with the outcome.

Our Philosophy

Counsel Without Compromise

We believe the most valuable thing an advisor can offer is an honest assessment — delivered with the directness that executives deserve and the rigor that boards require. We do not optimize for engagement length or scope expansion. We optimize for outcomes.

Practitioner Credibility

Our advisors have held the roles we advise. We bring operating experience — not theoretical frameworks — to every engagement.

Strategic Independence

We have no vendor relationships, no technology partnerships, and no financial incentives that could compromise our counsel. Our only obligation is to our clients.

Executive-Grade Rigor

We hold our work to the standard of a board presentation — clear, evidence-based, and defensible under scrutiny.

Selective Engagement

We work with a limited number of clients at any given time. This is not a constraint — it is a commitment to quality and attention.
